The objectives of ARICG establishment are:

• To mobilise research expertise and capability based on corporate governance.
• To offer consultation and advocacy on corporate governance at national and regional levels.
• To promote strategic collaboration based on principles of corporate governance at national and regional levels.

The Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad Institute of Thoughts was established with the approval from the Malaysian cabinet on 30th July, 2003. It aims to be the leading centre of research, consultancy and training on Leadership and Institutional Building for national and global agenda involving UUM’s diverse expertise. Hence the institute resolves to foster excellence in scholarship, applied research and disseminate knowledge and service to society in the efforts to exploit human and natural resources efficiently.

• Developing sustainable models for business, management, financial and relatable area in support of harmonious living.
• Aligning available resources in campus and its vicinity towards achieving sustainable models for relatable area of harmonious living.
• Developing instruments to support continual assessment practices to ensure sustainability for the said models.
• Disseminating findings to the masses through understandable business intelligence.
